Recycling Education Camp consists of three blocks:

1. WHAT IS RECYCLING? 1,5 h

  • theory class inside (fully equipped room in Pajulahti Sports Institute, anoother place is possible)
  • practice outside (memory activity on the lakeshore, Pajulahti, anoother place is possible)


2. HOW IS WASTE TREATED? 1,5 h

  • bus tour to Salpakierto (Kujala waste treatment centre) 
  • presentation in equipped room in Salpakierto
  • walk round waste reception station in Salpakierto (depends on the size of the group, weather and current situation at the station)


3. WHY WE RECYCLE? 1,5 h

  • bus transfer and guided walk in Salpausselkä UNESCO GLobal Geopark (Linnaistensuo mire, nature reserve close to the waste treatment centre)


PROGRAMME INFO:

Group size: max 20 participants (students and adults) per guide. In case of large groups several guides are provided.

Age: 9-12 or 13-19 year old

Total duration: about 4,5 h

Language: English

Best season: May - October, possible all year round.

Transfer, lunch etc.: possible, not included in the price 

Accommodation: we recommend Pajulahti Sports Institute.
